Accessibility Statement for Choosing Presence

Last Updated: March 28, 2026

General

Choosing Presence is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to guarantee that our website and digital offerings are welcoming and inclusive.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Choosing Presence aims to adhere to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.

Powered by UserWay

To help us achieve and maintain these standards, the Choosing Presence website utilizes the UserWay Accessibility Widget and its associated services. The UserWay software allows our site to improve its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) by offering user-triggered adjustments for text size, color contrast, keyboard navigation, and more. The accessibility menu can be enabled by clicking the accessibility menu icon that appears on the corner of the page. After triggering the menu, please wait a moment for the accessibility widget to load in its entirety.

Our Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is a continuous journey. To ensure our content is accessible to both assistive technologies and search engines, we are actively implementing native accessibility practices across our platform. This includes:

  • Maintaining clear, semantic heading structures (H1, H2, H3) for easier reading and navigation.
  • Applying descriptive alternative text to images.
  • Designing with high color contrast.
  • Working toward comprehensive transcripts and closed captioning for our multimedia content.

Known Limitations and Alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of all pages and content on Choosing Presence, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution.

Currently, some known limitations may include:

  • Older PDF documents that may lack structural tags.
  • Missing synchronized closed captions or text transcripts for certain multimedia, such as early episodes of the Follow Me to the M-R-O-P! podcast or our Choosing Presence video summaries.
  • Ongoing onboarding and interface updates within the Practicing Presence app.

If you encounter an issue with any of these materials, or need an alternative format, please reach out to us and we will gladly work to provide you with the information you need.
